5,014 fans watched an exciting game at the ballpark.  The Lewisville Fire Ants
topped the Jefferson Park Penguins by the slimmest of margins, 10 to 9.

The score was knotted at 9 after nine innings.  Lewisville won it in the 11th
inning.  After an out was recorded, Michael Young delivered a base-hit.  Wes
Helms came next and he doubled giving Lewisville the win much to the delight
of the home town crowd.  Lewisville finished with 14 hits in the victory.

Dave Williams(5-0) allowed no runs in 5 innings, and picked up the victory.
Armando Benitez(3-7) was charged with the loss in relief.  He gave up 2 runs
and 2 hits in 2 innings.  

Lance Berkman launched 2 homeruns and had 4 RBI in a losing cause for
Jefferson Park.
